Questions
Is Soko a marketplace?
No. Soko is software. Each company's shop runs under their own name on their own records, and this site is Soko's own. Your buyers see your name, your lots and your prices, and nobody stands between you and them.
Is Soko like Cropster?
Cropster is quality and roasting software. Soko runs the whole operation: purchasing, quality, warehouse, sales and the shop, on one record per lot, so the cup score your lab records is the one your buyer reads.
Does it replace my accounting system?
Not today, and it does not need to: your books stay where they are. Every purchase, receipt, sale, payment and write-off already lands in Soko's own financial ledger, and a general ledger is being built on it, with a chart of accounts, balanced journals and fiscal periods, so stock value, cost of sales and what each buyer owes will come from the same record as the lot.
How does my current stock get in?
We load your suppliers, farm sites, warehouses and stock with your team, and set up your shop. You start with one warehouse and this season's lots, not a migration project.
Does it make my lots EU compliant?
No software can; the importer files the statement. What Soko gives you is the part they will ask for: the supplier, the farm site with its boundary on the map, and every movement of the lot, on one page you can share as a passport.
Can it print my export documents?
Not yet printed, but never lost. Every document is on screen and every paper attaches to its lot, so the packing list, certificates and bill of lading sit one click from the lot they belong to. Printing is designed; tell us which document you need first.
Can I record a sale before the lot is in store?
Not yet. Today a sale names the lots it takes, which is what keeps a lot from being sold twice. Selling forward against planned lots is being built.
Does it work without internet?
It runs in a browser and needs a connection, from the office or from a phone in the warehouse. Nothing to install and nothing to back up; updates arrive on their own.
Is it only for coffee?
No. Coffee is what our own shop sells, so coffee is what you see here. Lots, warehouses, documents and the shop work the same for any commodity bought and sold in lots: sesame, pulses, spices, grains and more. The quality fields are defined per product category.
Who can see my data?
Each company has its own separate space. Your team sees what their role allows, buyers see only the lots you publish, and every change carries who made it and when.
